Clark International Airport (CRK) in Pampanga is on its way to be a premium travel hub for local and international flyers alike thanks to its expansion efforts and close proximity to cultural events.
In 2024, CRK recorded a 20% increase in passenger traffic, serving 2.4 million travelers. This growth is attributed to the transfer of turboprop operations from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), with Cebu Pacific relocating flights to destinations like Masbate and Siargao to Clark starting March 30, 2025. Philippine Airlines is set to follow suit by October. These changes are projected to boost CRK's passenger volume to 3.4 million in 2025.
CRK's strategic location offers travelers easy access to renowned festivals such as the Aurora Music Festival and the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, both held annually in the Clark Freeport Zone. These events attract thousands of visitors, enhancing the region's appeal as a cultural and recreational destination.
The airport's continuous efforts to strive for excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2024, CRK was honored as the "International Airport of the Year – Philippines" at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards – Asia, recognizing its exceptional passenger services and contributions to regional economic growth.
Clark is a potential goldmine for brands due to the airport's strategic location. With all the festival goers, international flights, and business travelers funneling through CRK, Digichive will be able to offer high brand visibility to specific zones with high foot-traffic. It’s a win for all parties involved - for brands, for Digichive, and for culture.
